Well, I thought it was awfully loud tonight…

but I had no idea At Least 8 Killed as Truck Careens Down Bike Path in Manhattan was going on.

I was walking a dog down Broadway today while this was going on; I had no idea we were in the thick of it. Things were very loud; there were a lot of "undercover" cars and vans flashing their strobes—dead giveaway: it's like how my lawyer friend says the undercover cops like to press a crease into the legs of their jeans—so, something was clearly up.

I didn't hear anything about it until I got to my last walk on Gramercy park and heard about the Home Depot angle and the Allah is Great angle. Cars were also very loud up there, traffic was piled-up, and the whole situation took a few hours to quiet down.

Nevertheless, by the time I got home, little princesses and monsters and Jedis were coming out, getting ready to go trick-or-treating. I think I'll stay in; I can Stitch-and-Bitch next week.
