I just saw Gasland tonight, and it's a real eye-opener. Believe me, we don't want Halliburton coming in to drill for natural gas and in the process put toxic chemicals in our drinking water, but that's what's been happening to unsuspecting people all over the country; they're even proposing doing it in Europe and Australia. The process of extracting natural gas from rock by drilling using toxic chemicals like toluene and benzene is called "hydrofracking" and people all over the country have been made chronically ill by drinking undrinkable water—sometimes for years.

If you're in NYC, please vote for Eric Schneiderman Tuesday in the primary; he's running for attorney general and is backing a strong moratorium against the drilling.
